Location: Dublin (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite) Type: Full-time About Arekibo At Arekibo, we design and build digital experiences that make a real impact. We partner with ambitious organisations to create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences, through strategy, design, and technology. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an SEO Specialist to help shape how our clients are discovered online. The Role As Lead WordPress Developer, you'll lead the development of scalable, high-performance websites and platforms. You'll work closely with designers and strategists while mentoring developers and ensuring best practices across all builds. ## What you'll do - Lead WordPress development across multiple client projects - Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions - Develop custom themes and plugins - Collaborate closely with UX and UI designers, leveraging Figma design tokens to build consistent, reusable front-end UI design systems - Translate design systems into component-based development approaches - Ensure code quality, performance, and SEO best practices - Mentor and support junior developers - Contribute to technical strategy and continuous improvement ## What you'll bring - 5 plus years of experience in WordPress development - Strong experience with PHP, JavaScript Frameworks, Vue.js, React, Angular, and modern development workflows - Proven experience leading or mentoring within a team - Experience implementing design systems and working with design tokens - Strong understanding of front-end architecture and component-based development - Solid understanding of performance optimisation and technical SEO - Experience with React and modern front-end frameworks - Familiarity with version control and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps - A high standard of accessibility considerations and frontend performance should be evident in previous projects ## Benefits We believe in supporting our team to do their best work and build meaningful careers: - Pension: Defined contribution pension plan with matching contributions up to 5% of gross salary (available after probation) - Life Assurance: Cover of 4x your gross annual salary - Income Protection: 75% of gross salary (less social welfare) after 6 months of certified illness - A collaborative, creative studio environment - Opportunities for professional growth and development - Hybrid working model Why Join Arekibo?
