CAIS

The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a research and field-building nonprofit focused on reducing societal-scale risks from artificial intelligence. The organization conducts technical AI safety research, builds infrastructure for AI safety, and advocates for safety standards. CAIS primarily serves the AI research community and organizations developing AI technologies. It is based in Palo Alto, California.
