There are 2 teams and they are community based services, with their central hub located on the grounds of St Canices Hospital. The main focus of work is on domiciliary visits (including nursing homes) and outpatient clinics. There is a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary team working. This emphasis also applies to those patients who are unwell enough to require admission to one of the Approved Centres, subject to the Mental Health Act, and who remain under their care during their admission.
