To submit your application through Irish and receive communications in Irish, please ensure you are on the Irish language version of our website www.publicjobs.ie/ga before you access the vacancy you wish to apply for, and click "Déan iarratas" to apply. ## Role Overview The Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Ordinary Member to the Board of of Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland Essential Candidates wishing to apply must demonstrate in their application evidence of experience at the appropriately senior level in two or more of the following areas: - Experience in Finance, and either Governance, Risk Management or Compliance at senior management level and/or Audit and Risk Committee experience. - Experience at a senior management level in the area of Information Technology and the management of large complex IT projects such as Digital Transformation, Cyber Security, Data Analytics. - Corporate legal experience in a multi-stakeholder and complex organisation - Experience of developing enhanced customer experience through digital services and leveraging data/AI in delivery. - A demonstrable understanding of the challenges posed by climate change and delivery of the energy transition. - Experience of creating an organisation wide culture of data driven continuous improvement with strong understanding of concepts such lean service design for right first time, deep root cause analysis, effective corrective and preventative actions. Desirable It is also desirable that candidates demonstrate evidence of experience in the following: - An understanding of the environment that SEAI operates in - Previous Board Membership - The ability to take an objective and data driven approach to decision-making and the confidence and resilience required to provide challenges to the executive leadership of the organisation. - Collegiate and a team player who can build effective relationships with other members of the Board and with the executive team while providing constructive challenge. - High standards of integrity and probity, understands the role of a Board member and knows how to use that role to good effect. - Evidence of strong communications, influencing and leadership skills - Relevant third-level qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body Closing Date: 15:00 on Tuesday 29th of September 2026
