Apply Now! ## Senior Network Engineer Closing Date: 30/09/2026 Location: Dublin Reference #: 2082 ## Role Title: Senior Network Engineer ## Business Area: Service Operations ## About This Role: Eir Business is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our dedicated Managed Services team supporting a key enterprise customer. This is a senior technical role acting as an escalation point, responsible for resolving complex network and security incidents, optimising environments, and ensuring reliable service delivery. Experience with networking and security concepts is essential, with particular focus on Palo Alto, along with hands-on exposure to technologies such as Aruba WLAN, Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN and network security platforms. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and the ability to operate within ITIL-based incident and change management processes are key to success in this role: ## Expectations From The Role: - Act as senior escalation for network/security incidents - Lead root cause analysis and resolution - Manage Palo Alto firewalls (policy, NAT, VPNs) - Support Aruba switching, controllers, and Wi-Fi - Support ### Lan/Wan/Wlan environments - Perform changes, upgrades, and migrations - Follow ITIL processes and maintain documentation - Participate in on-call rota and major incident response ## Requirements For A Successful Application: - 5+ years networking experience - Strong Palo Alto firewall experience - Experience with Aruba networking (switching/wireless) - Strong routing & switching skills (OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs) - VPN technologies (IPSec, remote access) - ### Itil / managed services experience - Strong troubleshooting skills Desirable Skills - Cisco ### Ccna/Ccnp - Palo Alto certs (PCNSE/PCNSA) - Aruba certs - Cloud networking (Azure/AWS) - ### Sd-Wan exposure Key Competencies - Strong problem-solving - Ability to work in high-pressure environments - Excellent communication skills - Customer-focused mindset ## Others: About eir Our purpose is to connect for a better Ireland.
