Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is… ## What you'll do </strong></h2> <p>As a Senior Software Engineer - Kernel Security, your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Build, develop, and maintain kernel security features for PlayStation systems.</li> <li>Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement security improvements.</li> <li>Debug and resolve sophisticated security issues within the kernel.</li> <li>Supervise and analyze security threats to determine the best course of action.</li> <li>Assist with open-source projects associated with kernel security.</li> <li>Maintain code quality through meticulous testing and code reviews.</li> </ul> <h2><strong> ## What you'll bring </strong></h2> <p>To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in C programming languages, other programming language like C++ is a plus.</li> <li>Experience with kernel development, freeBSD knowledge is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge in kernel security concepts and practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.</li> <li>Excellent debugging skills and problem-solving abilities.</li> <li>The ability to work autonomously and within a cooperative group.</li> </ul> <h2><strong> ## Nice to have </strong></h2> <p>The ideal candidate will also have:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of operating systems and low-level programming.</li> <li>Experience contributing to widely recognized open-source projects.</li> <li>Effective communication abilities and the capability to clearly explain intricate technical ideas.</li> <li>A strong passion for gaming and knowledge of the gaming industry.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.<br><br>Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.&nbsp;<br><br>In addition, this role<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>is eligible<span class="Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>for SIE’s top-tier …
